About Me

Thank you for visiting!

During the awesomeness that is Oscar season, follow me for the latest awards analysis, including forecasts on the Golden Globes and Guild Awards. Off-season, be sure to check in too, as I post film reviews, put together random best and worst lists and embark on the journey that is the Oscar Flashback, when I revisit a past Oscar category and determine who or what really should’ve taken home the golden statue.

All the best,

Andrew

Andrew Carden, AKA Human IMDb (to his trivia team), is a native of the most exciting city in the world, Albany, NY. He has been a film buff since he can remember – his earliest recollection is a double feature of Groundhog Day and A Few Good Men with his parents at the Malta Drive-In, when he was two – and has diligently followed the awards seasons since 2002, when he sighed over Catherine Zeta-Jones’ win (for Chicago) over Kathy Bates (for About Schmidt) in Best Supporting Actress. (Seriously, Kathy has deserved at least four Oscars at this point.) Andrew is a graduate of Northeastern University, where he obtained a master’s in journalism and public policy. His investigative report into archaic laws still on the books in Massachusetts was published on the front page of The Boston Globe in 2013. Andrew resides in Boston and works in state government.
